Meet David and Cherie Rust, the dynamic duo behind The Cupcake Ladies and Kentucky Rust Dust Seasonings and Snacks. Cherie embarked on her sweet journey with The Cupcake Ladies in 2012, transforming it from a simple homeschool project into a beloved local favorite. In 2021, David joined the adventure, bringing with him the innovative Kentucky Rust Dust Seasoning and Snack Line and taking the bakery on the road with our mobile bakery trailer. Where to Find Us: Our bakery trailer regularly rolls through the communities of Hopkinsville, Cadiz, Madisonville, and Greenville, Whether you’re craving cupcakes, cookies, or our signature seasoning, we’re never far away. In Nortonville and Crofton, we have partnered with Bestway and Rite Choice Market, respectively, to offer our cupcakes from their freezer section (just as good once thawed...trust me!) so that you can pick up treats anytime they are open! Convenience at Your Fingertips: We offer special holiday deliveries to Cadiz, Crofton, Nortonville, Madisonville, Hanson, Central City, Greenville, and Hopkinsville. Plus, with scheduled pickups available at our bakery from Tuesday to Saturday, getting your hands on our delicious treats and seasonings is easier than ever.

Our Story

A Sweet Beginning: In the summer of 2012, Cherie Rust and her three daughters—Callie, Abby, and Hattie—embarked on what was meant to be a simple summer homeschool project. Their goal was to learn basic business concepts by baking cupcakes for friends’ and family’s birthdays and other events. What started as a small endeavor quickly blossomed into something much more. As their “project” grew, so did their offerings, expanding to include cakes, cookies, and a variety of breads made with fresh fruits grown right outside their bakery. What began as a lesson in business evolved into a mission of spreading joy, one sweet creation at a time. A New Chapter: Fast forward to 2024, and life has taken Cherie’s daughters on their own exciting paths. With their focus now on their own businesses and growing families, The Cupcake Ladies welcomed two amazing young ladies who have become exceptional additions to our team. Together, we continue our mission to make life a little sweeter for everyone we serve.

Cancellations and Refunds

Sometimes things don't go as planned and you might need to cancel your order. We request cancellations be made at least 48 hours prior to delivery. If the order has been prepaid, there will be a 10% cancellation fee that will be deducted from the refund to cover our service fees or a store credit can be issued.
